Appearance
Very light amber.
Nose
Distinctly Islay on the nose, initial big peated gristiness, salt, spices and coal bunker smells, it turns oily sweet as it warms.
Palate
Opens honey sweet, held on the tongue it heads to peat and coal dust.
Finish
A still, phenolic finish that is long on dry spices, barley, oak and smoke.
